A limited number of hotel rooms at special rates have been reserved for ASME attendees at several hotels in the area. All ASME hotels are located conveniently within a 5-minute drive of UCI. If you wish to reserve your hotel accommodations, please contact the hotel directly at the numbers listed below. Reservations after the cut-off dates, listed below, cannot be guaranteed and room rates will be higher. The rates quoted are for the room (not per person) and are the same for double or single occupancy.

• The Hyatt Regency Irvine: A resort setting in an elegant tower. Just under five minutes from Orange County Airport and UCI. Amenities include: complimentary transportation to OC Airport, complimentary transportation to UCI on availability, use of hotel recreational facilities and front desk check-in at Orange County Airport. For hotel registration, please call (714) 975-1234. Please identify yourself as an attendee of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers conference. The special rate is $79.00 per night single/double. After August 1, 1996, rooms may not be available and room rates will be higher.
• Hyatt Newporter: A beautiful setting located on 26 acres of plush gardens, overlooking the magnificent Back Bay of Newport Beach. Five minutes from Orange County Airport and UCI. Courtesy shuttle to and from OC Airport, Fashion Island and Balboa Island. Recreational facility includes 3 pools, 3 Jacuzzis, golf, tennis, and a fitness center. For registration, call the Reservations Department at (714) 729-1234 or toll free at 1(800) 233-1234, and identify yourself as an attendee of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers conference. The special rate is $98.00 per night and is subject to a 10% occupancy tax. After July 27, 1996, room rates will be higher.
• Newport Beach Marriott Suites: Located in beautiful Newport Beach, the Marriott is within five minutes of UCI and the OC Airport. For registration, call (714) 854- 4500 or 1(800) 831-4004 (when calling toll free please request the Newport Beach Marriott Suites). Please identify yourself as an attendee of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The special rate is $92.00 per night and is subject to a 10% occupancy tax. After August 1, 1996, room rates will be higher.
